Private cloud with built-in resilience, plus managed AI

Option One Technologies operates a private cloud for client infrastructure servers and virtual desktops, and manages public cloud and enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Amazon Bedrock. Workloads are hosted in a primary region and continuously replicated to a secondary region, so a disaster scenario becomes a recovery procedure rather than a crisis.

Option One Technologies virtual private cloud

Hosted infrastructure with geo-replication

  • Production virtual machines sized to your workload: domain controllers, file servers, application and database servers, virtual desktops
  • SSD-backed production storage metered per gigabyte, with replicated storage in the secondary region
  • Cross-region data replication (East to West) of every protected VM and volume
  • 99.99% uptime SLA on hosted infrastructure
  • Standard disaster recovery plan for all hosted servers, with recovery from the last backup within 24 hours and often sooner
  • Daily backups of infrastructure servers and virtual desktops, with annual DR testing

Managed public cloud

Design, migration, cost governance, and day-to-day operation of Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, integrated with your identity, security, and backup platforms.

Compliance-grade data retention

Retention architecture that separates vendor-side retention from firm-side capture obligations, with automated exports from AI and collaboration platforms into your archive of record.

Buyer questions

Availability, recovery and what you can hold us to

These are different commitments, and conflating them is how firms end up surprised. Here is how we separate them.

Is the 99.99% uptime SLA the same as a recovery guarantee?

No - they are different commitments. 99.99% is a contractual uptime commitment on hosted infrastructure, backed by credits. Recovery is measured separately: a recovery point objective (how much data you can lose) and a recovery time objective (how quickly a workload returns). Both are recorded per workload in your agreement. The standard plan recovers from the last verified backup; if you need tighter objectives, we design and scope that explicitly rather than implying it.

What is our recovery time if we lose a site?

Under the standard plan, hosted servers recover from the last verified backup, commonly within 24 hours and often sooner, and replication runs East to West. Workloads that must return faster than that are designed with explicit failover and tested annually, so the target you sign up to is one we have actually measured.

Do you host in your cloud or ours?

Both. Option One Virtual Private Cloud hosts VMs, storage and virtual desktops with cross-region replication. Where you already run Azure or AWS, we manage those environments - identity, cost governance, backup and security integration - rather than moving you.

How are professional services priced?

Fixed-scope or statement of work, quoted before work starts. Tenant builds, retention configuration, secure tunnels, endpoint onboarding, risk assessments and penetration testing are all delivered as defined projects, whether or not you subscribe to a managed service.

What about the backups we already run?

We review what exists during onboarding, keep what is working, and document what is protected, how it is verified and what is not covered. The backup schedule and restore-testing cadence in your agreement is what you can hold us to.
